Contact us via the contact form on this website, or by phone to discuss your specific requirements, such as date, size, flavour and theme required. If possible, please send us pics of cakes you like which could be used as a reference, not necessarily to copy. It will give us an idea of what you want. It would be helpful to also know your budget at this stage. Late orders (within one week) will incur a 15% surcharge.
Time frames
We make custom cakes to order, so each one is individually and lovingly made to suit your requirements. To manage our process we need enough time to do every cake justice. Ideally your cakes should be ordered at least two weeks before, three weeks is ideal, with confirmation via a deposit paid at least two weeks before.
Payment
We issue an invoice which contains our bank details and address for collection. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. We only consider an order confirmed once we have received your deposit. There are no cancellations within a week from the due date, or you forfeit your full deposit. If you cancel within two weeks from the due date, you forfeit half your deposit. This is necessary to cover costs incurred by us up to that time.
Costs*
Our custom cakes start around R450 for our most basic 20cm round fondant covered cake. Costs are determined according to size, flavour and detail.
Cupcakes and cakepops start at R10 each for vanilla, increasing in price according to detail and flavour.
Cookies vary in price but the most basic decorated cookies start at R8 each, again depending on size.
Edible picture/print cakes are priced as follows:
A4 single layer cake with buttercream R380
A4 single layer sliced through with buttercream filling and covered with fondant R460
A4 double layer with buttercream filling and covered with fondant R550
A3 double layer with buttercream filling and covered with fondant R650
*Prices subject to change with volatile costs of resources, petrol and electricity.
